10 km from Mrzeżyno is Trzebiatów - a town of medieval architectural monuments, the only town in Poland whose symbol is an elephant - connected with the history of the town.
The attractions of Trzebiatów include: the St. Mary's Church from the 14th century, city defensive walls from the 14th century - preserved at 70%, Kaszana Tower, 3 Gothic chapels from the 14th century, a palace in classical style, a baroque town hall with Gothic elements, and beautiful urban tenement houses from the 16th-19th centuries.

Trzebiatów Groats Festival (held every year in August) refers to a legend according to which a bowl of groats dropped saved the city from an attack by the people of Gryfice. During the event, there are demonstrations of fights and crafts, numerous contests, concerts, and a traditional treat – groats with minced meat and bacon.
